On November 26, 2013, Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma`aden) awarded Intecsa Industrial the contract for the “Umm Wu`al DAP/NPK Plant, Storage, Infrastructure, Utilities & Off-sites at Ras Al Khair” Project.

The services to be provided include the detailed engineering, procurement, construction, precommissioning, commissioning and start-up of the project, to be carried out at the existing complex in Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia.

The plant is part of the Umm Wu`al Mega Project, itself part of the development of a new industrial city in the north of the country known as Waad Al-Shamal City for Mining Industries. The Umm Wu`al project is a joint venture between Ma`aden, SABIC and Mosaic.

The project execution period will be 36 months, due to be completed at the end of November 2016.

Also on January 2014, Intecsa Industrial through its subsidiary Dragados Gulf is awarded the Contract for the “Additional DAP Warehouses and Associates Facilities” by Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma`aden) for the EPC of an additional DAP Warehouse with a capacity of 200.000 t as including an additional and an independent warehouse of 40.000 t, with mobile conveying systems for product stocking and unloading the product from warehouse into shipping conveyor.

These additional warehouses are located at the same industrial complex in Ras Al Khair, adjoining the plant Intecsa was awarded for the Umm Wu`al Mega Project, and is due to be completed at the end of January 2016.
