1964

Our start

This year the company Initec Energía was created under the National Institute of Industry.

1965

INTECSA INTERNACIONAL DE INGENIERÍA Y ESTUDIOS TÉCNICOS, S.A.” is created, with share capital contributed by Dragados y Construcciones S.A., becoming the industrial engineering arm of the largest construction group in Spain.

1988

Dragados sells 50% of the shares of Intecsa Industrial to the German company Uhde Gmbh. The new name of the company is INTECSA – UHDE INDUSTRIAL, S.A. During this period, the most effective and efficient synergies of both companies take place.

1990

2002

As part of the privatisation policies, the shareholding structure of Initec Energía was distributed among the new buyers, one of them being Dragados Industrial. Like the entire Dragados Group, Intecsa-Uhde is part of the ACS Group. Dragados Industrial once again owns 100% of the company, which recovers the name of INTECSA INDUSTRIAL.

2007

Dragados Industrial, when fully integrated into the ACS Group, repurchased all the shares of UHDE. Full ownership returns to ACS Group.

2008

The ACS Group entrusted Intecsa Industrial to be the leading company within the group operating as an EPC Contractor in the Hydrocarbon Sector. This year it takes over the management of the company established in Saudi Arabia, Dragados Gulf, owned by Dragados Industrial.

2012

International expansion in the Middle East & Far East, establishing permanent offices in 5 continents. In 2011, Intecsa Industrial opened its branch in the United Arab Emirates, with its headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

2016

Intecsa and Initec decided to combine their synergies by operating as a single company, while maintaining their own legal personality. This consolidates both companies as references in EPC projects in the international market.

2019

Intecsa industrial becomes a world benchmark in the Industrial Projects and Energy Sector. This is a key year where strategic changes take place to go from a service and EPC project company to a technological and innovative company with its own developments.

2022

Part of the world’s largest private contractor

Vinci buys the industrial division of the ACS Group whose main link is Cobra engineering. The transaction covers, in addition to engineering and works activities, participations in eight energy project concessions, as well as the platform for new projects in the renewable energy sector.
